Jeri Jorgenson’s Biography

Some careers begin with training to be that professional, and in this case Jeri is the professional and the career chose her. Her husband was the first to notice she had the natural ability to talk to people and find the core needs and qualities people sought. Jeri began her Real Estate Agent career in 1978 with Allied Brokers. Unlike today’s agent she had to be voted into the office by the agents and the interview process was a real test to see if she was indeed the right person. Her first year she closed 25 transactions and began her life’s work.

Thirty one years later Jeri’s resume continues to confirm she is the right person. She has built large groups of professional networking right in her hometown and then all over the state. She started the Livermore Marketing Meeting for Realtors and affiliates and presided as president from 1985 to 1995. She began working with the Women Council of Realtors (WCR) in 1993 and has a long list of accomplishments to show her desire to be a leader. She is the Founder and Past President of the Delta Chapter, and has facilitated the chartering of the Monterey Peninsula, El Dorado, Bakersfield, Lake County, Citrus Valley Foothills Chapter, and Tri-Counties Chapters. She has served as President of the Southern Alameda County Chapter and her service continues to the State level as Secretary in 2002 and 2006, National Governor, State Governor, Membership Chair, and District Vice-President. In 2004 she was named Member of the Year for the State of California, a process where your peers vote to choose this person. Jeri has received the honor of being the highest WCR State level as President 2008. She also serves on the National Level for Leadership Development Task Force.

The local board, Bay East Association of Realtors has also enjoyed Jeri’s service with over 31 years as a Realtor. She has served as the Director of District 3 since 2004, been named as Member of the year by her peers, and has been awarded the Grand Master for her level of sales. California Association of Realtors (CAR) has also seen Jeri as Director from 2005.

Jeri has been so successful in her work with Women’s Council of Realtors because her values match WCR’s. In her own words from a speech before her election to President in 2008: “Why I am personally asking for the opportunity to serve you as President for the State of California’s Women’s Council of Realtors? Because I truly believe in the promise of the WCR vision “To be the premier organization for the individual achievement.” What exactly does premier look like? Does someone else see WCR for the first time views us as Premier, the best of the best, and the ultimate in professionalism? If not, what do we need to do change that external and sometimes even internal perception? I feel that each of us plays a part in making our vision a reality…. Together we can have a great impact on the future of the real estate industry, and ultimately help guarantee each member’s individual potential for success. Premier is what I envision when I think of the future of this organization, and that’s why I am here.”

With Jeri’s busy schedule she manages to also spend time on her other passions, her family and gourmet cooking. Jeri has been married to her husband Ron for 24 years, they have four daughters and ten grandchildren. Time with her family and friends is usually surrounded by gourmet food. Jeri is a member of two gourmet organizations and sends recipes of her favorites to her clients; including her award winning Chili!

This exclusive designation is awarded to less than 3% of all REALTORS® nationwide and is your assurance that you are working with someone who is more connected, more knowledgeable, and more experienced. This year, Jeri has been chosen to serve as the Chairman of the Northern California CRS membership committee.

-GRI (Graduate REALTORS® Institute)

      Jeri also holds the professional designation GRI, indicating that she is a member of the Graduate REALTORS® Institute. Jeri has been a Livermore resident since 1968. She is married and is the mother of 4 adult daughters, all of whom grew up in the Livermore/Fremont area. Actively involved in her children's lives as they grew, Jeri is acutely aware of the area's neighborhoods and services as they apply to families. Now the grandmother of 10, all under 10 years of age, Jeri continues to keep current on what is available to families in the Bay Area. Jeri has a strong civic commitment and is past president of the Livermore Junior Women's Club. She is also founder and past president of the Snowflake Ski Club, a division of the Far West Ski Association. This club keeps her involved in one of her favorite recreational activities, downhill racing. In the summer, Jeri enjoys boating on the delta. Jeri is a member of the the following associations:

      Jeri is active in the National Association's official arm, the Women's Council of REALTORS®. She is currently president-elect and will be president in 1999.

-Livermore Marketing Meeting

      Jeri was the founder and President of the Livermore Marketing Meeting from 1985 until 1995. Designed as a networking group for REALTORS® and Associates, this group sponsors speakers on real estate and related topics for its members. All of these associations uphold a strict code of ethics and ensure that its members are up to date on the latest marketing techniques and legislation affecting real estate. Jeri is not only an experienced and knowledgeable REALTOR®, but she is fun and personable as well. It is these qualities that makes her one of the area's most popular agents.
